Over the
past 2 years or so, I have kept track of books I’ve read. The genres of what I’ve
picked for my to-be-read list have covered many types of stories: mystery,
biography, thriller, fantasy, science fiction among other numerous genres.
From this
list of books, I want to highlight specific areas of interest. Today, I wanted
to present a list of novels that were optioned or turned into movies or a TV
miniseries. The adaptations may or may not have been faithful to the original
text, but the books themselves are entertaining in their own right.
Some of the
books in the below list have been subject to numerous movie and/or TV versions over the
years while others were adapted recently. I present these in no particular
order. If the titles seem familiar and interest anyone reading this blog, I advise
checking your local library, a bookstore in your area, or an online source like
Amazon.
